To ensure we provide the best and safest experience for your pet, it's essential that you read our Terms & Conditions before your appointment. Understanding our policies helps us deliver the highest quality care and avoid any misunderstandings.

Risk of Injury

Grooming involves inherent risks that may result in injuries such as cuts, nicks, scratches, nail bleed or skin irritations. While we take every precaution to ensure your pet's safety, these risks cannot be completely eliminated.

By authorising the grooming service, you consent to and accept full responsibility for any potential risks and release The Pet Spa London Ltd, its employees and representatives from any liability arising from injuries, damages or adverse reactions incurred during or after the grooming process.

Matted Dogs

The groomer will assess the severity of matting before or during the appointment. In some cases, dematting may be possible, but it is not included in the standard grooming price.

Dematting starts at £40, depending on the condition. In severe cases, shaving may be the only safe option. This can drastically change your pet's appearance and carries a high risk of skin irritation. All decisions are made in the best interest of your pet.

Fleas & Ticks

We do not accept pets with fleas or ticks under any circumstances. If a pet is found to have them during grooming, the session will be stopped immediately, and a cleaning fee may apply.

Owner Responsibility

Please inform us of any health conditions, sensitivities, or behavioural issues in advance. You accept all grooming-related risks by booking an appointment.

Recording & Social Media

We may take photos or videos of your pet during their visit. These may be shared on our website or social media. Let us know if you do not consent.

Veterinary Care

In case of injury, we may provide first aid and recommend veterinary care. Any vet costs are the owner's responsibility.

Aggressive Pets

We do not accept aggressive dogs or cats. We are a muzzle-free salon.

Cat Grooming

We reserve the right to decline grooming services for any cat that appears distressed or exhibits aggressive behaviour. Our grooming process does not involve sedation, relying instead on the cat's behaviour for a safe and comfortable experience.

Our team is extensively trained to handle cats with care and expertise. We are committed to making every effort to complete the grooming service in a manner that ensures the well-being and comfort of your feline companion.

Vaccinations

Your pet must be up-to-date with vaccinations.

Preparing for Your Appointment

Please avoid feeding your pet less than 3 hours before the appointment. Ensure they have had a toilet break before arrival to help prevent accidents during grooming.

Timing & Collection

Grooms typically take 2–3 hours. You will be contacted once your pet is ready. Please collect them within 1 hour of notification. A late collection/crèche fee of £10 per hour may apply.

Cancellations & Late Arrivals

Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance to avoid restrictions. Late arrivals may require rescheduling.

No-Shows

A £30 no-show fee will apply if you miss an appointment without notice. Future bookings may also require prepayment.

Dog Hotel

The Dog Hotel in Clapham accommodates a maximum of four dogs at a time. Currently only X-Small and Small breeds are accepted. We reserve the right to refuse boarding for any dog deemed unsuitable.

Pricing

Prices listed are guide prices and may vary based on factors including breed, coat condition, behaviour and grooming complexity. Final pricing will be confirmed at the time of the appointment.

Prices for double-coated breeds (e.g. Akita, Siberian Husky, Chow Chow, Newfoundland, German Shepherd, Samoyed, Bernese Mountain Dog) will be provided after individual assessment.

Satisfaction

If you have any concerns about the groom, please contact us within 24 hours so we can review and offer a solution where possible.
